Sassello, in the heart of the Beigua Natural Park!

Due to its absolutely strategic location in the heart of the Beigua Natural Park, Hotel Pian del Sole is the ideal place for a holiday dedicated to sports and activities or for spending relaxing days surrounded by greenery.

At the hotel guests' disposal is an outdoor swimming pool with solarium area, a large lawn equipped with sun loungers, parasols and deckchairs for relaxing, and a wooden patio where you can rest in the shade during the warm season.

Whether you are looking for serenity and well-being or want to visit the village of Sassello, you will have a wealth of options and activities at your disposal! Tasty festivals, excellent fairs and musical events. You can also explore the trails of the Deiva Forest, take a refreshing dip in Lake Gulli or organise a picnic.

    TREKKING

    As far as hiking is concerned, the choice is very wide. For the less athletic, Sassello offers pleasant walks along the paths close to the historic centre or in the Deiva Forest, while the more trained can devote themselves to long and demanding but extremely rewarding routes, such as those that reach the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri and the suggestive Monte Beigua plateau.
    Particularly worth mentioning is the Sassello-Colle Bergnon-Monte Avzè route, which winds among beech, pine and rock. On clear days, the summit of Monte Avzè offers the thrill of sweeping views as far as Capo Noli and the Island of Bergeggi.

    CYCLING TOURISM AND MOUNTAIN BIKE

    In our hotel, guests can rent electric bicycles and we have an internal storage room for their personal bicycles.
    There are numerous cycle routes starting from Sassello to discover the Orba, Erro and Bormida valleys.

    The most interesting are collected in a mini-guide produced in collaboration with Hotel Pian del Sole: these are ring routes of varying length and difficulty, typically Apennine, offering the possibility of tackling more or less demanding climbs. Mountain bike enthusiasts also have a wide choice of routes in the Deiva Forest or along the paths and white roads of the Beigua Park. Worthy of note is the Monte Beigua-Sassello descent, which is fun but technical in places.

    HORSE RIDING

    Those who love horses and nature have the opportunity to participate in excursions along the suggestive ridge of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri or along the paths through the picturesque inland woods: the feeling of freedom that comes from riding and the pleasure of contact with nature are a precious injection of wellbeing, both for the mind and the body.

    COLLECTION OF MUSHROOMS

    The wooded area of Sassello in the Savona hinterland is renowned for its stunning beauty and abundant mushroom population. While autumn is traditionally the best time to find mushrooms, there are often opportunities to collect magnificent specimens of Boletus Edulis, a popular and highly valued edible porcini mushroom, even during the summer months.
